Karine Swenson
Joshua Tree artist Karine Swenson was born in Rapid City, South Dakota and lived much of her adult life in the mountains of Colorado. She earned her BA at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD and also studied at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She works in oil, watercolor and pastel and has recently discovered printmaking. Nature plays a strong role in influencing her use of color as well as her choice of compositional elements.
